I find it interesting that it's about age. I'm old, therefore I can't let go of PHP? I know a few different languages. PHP happens to be one of them and one I use a fair amount. I like PHP. It's done really well for me, but at no point did I say that PHP rules over all others. And I would be wary of anyone who thinks that. What I'm saying is that each language plays a role. PHP did that for me, time and time again, but that doesn't mean I think PHP is better than other languages. It's better at some things, in the same way that TypeScript is better at others, or Python, or Rust, or whatever. PHP is far from dead. It doesn't take a lot of looking around to see that. It may be dead for you, and that's fine. I'm definitely not going to attack you on your choice of tech. What "drives me MAD" is that I get berated for my choices. Why? I'm not giving anyone else shit about their choices? WordPress isn't great. It's a good example of bad design, in my opinion. But that doesn't mean PHP is bad. Languages come and go, and when I'm unable to make money from PHP, I'll stop using it and move on to something else. But right now, it's not dead.

Thanks for the response.
